Lori Lipman Brown, Director/Lobbyist [bio]
Lori Lipman Brown is a former Nevada State Senator, private practice lawyer and law professor. Her legislative record in the arenas of public education, mental health care and the repeal of consensual sex crimes resulted in her being named Civil Libertarian of the Year by the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and Legislator of the Year by the Nevada chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Brown has been a frequent political commentator on television and radio and a regular columnist in a variety of print media.
Ron Millar, Associate Director [bio]
Ron Millar holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration with special expertise in Supreme Court cases addressing the funding of sectarian schools. He has held administrative positions at the National Research Council / The National Academies, the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University, and the Citizen Action/Citizen-Labor Energy Coalition. He has also worked in numerous political campaigns, lobbied at state and national levels, and owned a publishing company specializing in legislative monthlies.
Sasha Bartolf, Legislative Associate [bio]
Sasha Bartolf comes to us from a research and writing position at Congressional Quarterly, where she contributed to CQPolitics.com, Politifact.com, CQ Weekly, and CQ Healthbeat. Previously she was a lobbyist and public policy writer at Impact, NJ. At the Secular Coalition Sasha's responsibilities are Congressional lobbying, grassroots advocacy, and research.
Mary Bellamy, Program Assistant [bio]
Mary Bellamy graduated from Harvard Law School and worked as a securities lawyer at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and for the Investment Company Institute. She has also edited a journal on law and investment management for the Villanova University School of Law.
