Sasha Bartolf

Sasha comes to us from Congressional Quarterly, Inc. where she was employed as a researcher and writer for several CQ publications including CQPolitics.com, Politifact.com, CQ Weekly, and CQ Healthbeat. Prior to working at Congressional Quarterly, Sasha worked as Government Affairs Assistant for Impact N.J., a lobbying firm based in Trenton, N.J. where she worked with Governor Jon Corzine and Mayor Jeremiah Healy of Jersey City. While at Impact, she authored several policy papers on topics ranging from tenure to pensions to municipal shared services in addition to investigating a variety of local, state, and federal policies for clients. In 2006, Sasha graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio where she received a bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Sasha was hired by the Secular Coalition of America on March 31, 2008. She tracks, researches, monitors and influences the introduction, passage or defeat of federal legislation and public policy that inappropriately injects religion into civil law. Sasha also authors action alerts for members and coordinates lobbying days on Capitol Hill for interested volunteers.
