Federal Funds to Religious Schools in D.C.

May 5 - The Secular Coalition for America thanks Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) for her continued opposition to the Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP), which channels taxpayer money to religious schools rather than providing secular, public education for the District's students. We share Del. Holmes Norton's view that the OSP should be disbanded, and that the $18 million allocated by the Bush administration to extend the OSP should be put back into D.C. public schools.
